Construire une densité raisonnée, tel est l'objet du travail d'ITAR architectures qui met cette notion de l'urbanisme durable à l'épreuve de l'habitabilité pour en faire une évidence. Densifier c'est limiter l'étalement urbain, l'artificialisation des sols et cela peut aller de pair avec un enrichissement de la sphère privée. Les trois ouvrages décrivent trois projets récents, interrogent la densité au prisme des habitants, montrent leurs appropriations des lieux et dévoilent des formes enviables de la vie urbaine.

ITAR architectures aims to build reasonable density. They put the notion of sustainable urbanism to the test of inhabitability in a way that makes its benefits plainly obvious. To densify is to limit urban sprawl and the artificialization of soils, which can go hand in hand with an enhanced quality of the private sphere. These three books describe three recent projects, look at density through the prism of inhabitants, show how they appropriate the premises and present highly desirable forms of urban living.
