It offers a wide-ranging discussion of key issues raised in both the academie and grey literature in relation to new technologies and responsibilities for health care at home. Then, it identifies critical issues arising from the development of these new care technologies in relation to their design and implementation.

It will provide an essential resource for the EU in helping to avoid expensive and inappropriate development and healthcare Systems that do not meet the needs of users and citizens.
